"With these works, the marks are informed by images that I find online. I put them into editing software and then I crush them, warp them and skew them, change them to black and white, tinker with them, creating different compositions until I get to a point where I say, 'Ok, this is something that I want to paint'.
I don't want to be scrambling for ideas all the time. I'm just trying to build a world where the practice feeds itself.
